As Regional Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a key regional technology resource for our Africa and Europe terminals, including Poti, Rijeka, Aarhus, Gothenburg, Vado, Gijon, Barcelona, Valencia, Apapa, Onne, and Monrovia. You will help deliver, maintain, modernize, and secure critical technology services across compute, storage, network, end-user services, applications, and cybersecurity, acting as an important bridge between global technology teams and local terminal operations.

We are looking for an experienced Regional Infrastructure Engineer, based in Vado, Italy, to join our friendly and highly collaborative regional team. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple terminals, global technology teams, operational stakeholders, and external partners to ensure our technology landscape remains secure, reliable, and ready for the future. 

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in executing our modernization, standardization, resilience, and security agenda for technology services. You will support business-critical operations, troubleshoot complex issues, drive improvements, and help translate global standards into practical, reliable solutions for our terminals. 

  

Key Responsibilities – 

  

In this role, you will: 

  • Ensure high availability and reliable performance of regional technology services across compute, storage, network, end-user services, applications, and cybersecurity. 
  • Use ServiceNow and other service management tools to resolve incidents and requests within agreed service levels. 
  • Execute global change programs with strong change management discipline, reducing risk and avoiding unplanned service interruptions. 
  • Implement secure configurations and deployments in line with APM Terminals standards, policies, and cybersecurity expectations. 
  • Use monitoring and visibility tools to provide clear insight into IT, OT, operations, and business-critical services. 
  • Create and maintain clear diagrams, technical documentation, and operational records that support standardization, supportability, and compliance. 

  

What we are looking for: 

  • Strong knowledge of modern infrastructure technologies, standards, and operational best practices. 
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting secure network solutions across WLAN, LAN, and WAN environments. 
  • Experience with compute, storage, and virtualization solutions such as HyperFlex, Nutanix, and VMware. 
  • Proven experience in Cisco environments; relevant certifications will be considered an advantage. 
  • Exposure to OT-related systems and an understanding of operational technology environments. 
  • Experience with firewall technologies; certification is preferred. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, Zabbix, and FireMon. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, third parties, global teams, local terminal teams, and business stakeholders. 
  • Experience reviewing, planning, and supporting end-to-end technology solutions. 
  • Experience deploying, maintaining, and supporting business-critical applications and infrastructure services. 
  • A structured, proactive mindset with the ability to balance project delivery, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Skills Required
