Valley Children’s Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Hospitalist to join our expanding regional care team. This role supports our mission of increasing access to high-quality pediatric care throughout the Central Valley by caring for children across multiple community partner hospitals within our network.

Job Description:

This position is ideal for a pediatrician who values autonomy, collaboration, and meaningful work that directly impacts access to care for families across our region. 
This role is part of Valley Children’s expanding regional hospitalist program, working closely with partner hospital Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Our goal is simple: deliver high-quality pediatric care where families live. From ER consults and neonatal support to newborn care and inpatient pediatrics, our Regional Pediatric Hospitalists provide comprehensive care for children from birth through adolescence. Keeping families together and kids close to home. 
Practice Highlights:
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care, including admissions, management, and discharges. 

  • Serve as a trusted consultant for emergency departments and referring providers.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the Valley Children’s network. 

  • Flexible schedules are designed to support work-life balance. 


Qualifications: 
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

  • Completion of ACGME-accredited pediatric residency

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics

  • Eligible for California medical licensure

  • Passion for community-based pediatric care
