Job DescriptionAre you passionate about creating a safe and secure environment where people can thrive? Do you have a knack for turning complex regulations into practical, effective solutions? We're looking for a Health, Safety & Security (HSS) Program Manager to be a guardian of well-being across our Americas offices. In this role, you’ll be a crucial part of our global team, ensuring our people and our business are protected and resilient.
What You'll Be Doing
Be the HSS Authority: You’ll be the go-to expert for all things Health, Safety, and Security in our Americas offices, from Austin to New York to São Paulo and everywhere in between. You’ll develop and implement programs that not only meet but exceed local regulations, making safety an integral part of our culture.
Innovate and Implement: You won’t just react to problems; you’ll proactively build and manage programs that reduce risks, prevent incidents, and promote a healthy workplace. From conducting risk assessments to supporting office expansions, your guidance will be critical.
Protect and Respond: You’ll act as a core member of our Workplace Incident Management Team, ready to respond to workplace business continuity or crises and emergencies. Whether it's a small-scale issue or a larger-scale emergency, you’ll provide the specialized support needed to ensure our colleagues' safety.
Vendor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with health, safety, and security vendors to ensure compliance, service quality, and alignment with organizational standards.
Collaborate and Educate: You'll work closely with managers and teams across the region, providing training and technical expertise through third party providers. You’ll be responsible for maintaining on-site fire marshall and first-aid programs. You’ll also be a key partner to our global Head of Workplace Risk and Compliance and Americas Workplace Lead, helping to shape and implement HSS policies worldwide.
Grow Our Impact: You’ll help us develop and monitor high-level KPIs, analyze regional trends, and strategically integrate HSS initiatives into the company’s global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) roadmap. Your work will not only keep our people safe but also strengthen our commitment to a responsible and sustainable future.
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
HSS Expertise: You must be a properly registered and certified Occupational Safety Technician with at least five years of experience in an HSS role across multiple international locations. You must be registered with the federal government’s SIRPWEB system that meets the requirements of Regulatory Standard Four (NR-4) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
Global Mindset: You have a strong working knowledge of HSS laws and regulations across the Americas and are comfortable with regular domestic and international travel, sometimes on short notice.
Crisis Experience: You have hands-on experience in crisis and emergency management, with the ability to provide calm, effective support in high-pressure situations.
Proactive and Self-Starting: You’re a natural problem-solver who takes initiative and doesn't need to be told what to do.
Excellent Communicator: You’re fluent in English and Portuguese and can clearly and effectively communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
Bonus points if you have:
Professional certifications in Occupational Safety, Health, or Security
First Aid certification.
Knowledge of international HSS standards.
