This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll drive operational excellence, build organisational capability, and lead transformational change across APA. You'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution, ensuring we deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers while creating a more standardised, scalable, and high-performing operating model.
The OpportunityAs Regional Head of MPL Operations - APA, you will lead the regional operational agenda for Maersk Project Logistics, partnering closely with Area leaders, Global Operations, Commercial teams, Product, Finance, and QHSE stakeholders.
Success in this role will come from your ability to lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment, bringing people together around shared priorities and driving meaningful change across countries, teams, and functions.
You will play a central role in strengthening operational performance, embedding consistent ways of working, and helping MPL APA continue its transition to a future-ready operating model.
What You Will Be Responsible ForRegional Operations LeadershipDrive operational performance across APA, ensuring strong governance, service delivery, and customer outcomes.
Deliver regional KPIs and improvement plans while balancing safety, quality, customer experience, and profitability.
Use data and performance insights to identify opportunities, prioritise actions, and improve operational results across the region.
Lead operational implementation activities in partnership with Area, Product, and Implementation teams.
Operational Excellence & Transformation
Drive standardisation across markets to create more consistent customer and operational experiences.
Define, implement, and continuously improve operational processes, standards, and governance practices.
Lead transformation and change initiatives that strengthen operational effectiveness and scalability.
Champion continuous improvement and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
People, Capability & Leadership
Build and develop a strong, future-ready operations organisation through coaching, capability development, and succession planning.
Be a visible and engaged leader who fosters accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Lead through change while maintaining engagement, alignment, and focus across teams and stakeholders.
Support the attraction, onboarding, and development of operational talent across the region.
Stakeholder & Customer Leadership
Act as the regional voice of MPL Operations across APA.
Build strong partnerships across Global Operations, Commercial, Product, Finance, Procurement, and QHSE teams.
Ensure operational perspectives help shape customer solutions, business decisions, and product development.
Act as a senior escalation point for complex operational and customer challenges.
10+ years of experience in project logistics, heavy-lift, breakbulk, industrial projects, or complex supply chain operations, within project logistics, freight forwarding, logistics, maritime, energy, industrial, or EPC environments is mandatory
5+ years of regional leadership experience managing multi-country teams and operational performance across Asia Pacific.
Asia Pacific experience is preferred
Proven track record driving operational excellence, process standardisation, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale transformation and change management programs across multiple markets.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer outcomes, operational performance, risk, and profitability.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment within a matrix organisation.
Data-driven decision maker with experience using KPIs and operational insights to improve performance and deliver business results.
