Regional Financial Controller - London Portfolio

At Leonardo Hotels, we're looking for an exceptional finance leader to join our UK & Ireland Finance team as a Regional Finance Controller, reporting directly to the Head of  Finance.

This is far more than a traditional financial control position. You'll be a trusted business partner to operational leaders, driving commercial performance, influencing strategic decisions, and leading financial excellence across a large portfolio of hotels across London.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As Regional Finance Controller, you'll have full ownership of the financial performance, governance, and strategic financial support for your portfolio.

You'll work closely with the wider finance department, General Managers, Regional Operations managers and support functions to ensure informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Act as the senior finance partner for your portfolio, influencing operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Provide financial insight, analysis and challenge to maximise revenue, profitability and return on investment.
  • Support strategic initiatives, business cases and growth opportunities.

Financial Performance & Reporting

  • Lead all aspects of financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Deliver timely, accurate and actionable management information.
  • Analyse key performance indicators, financial trends and market benchmarks to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Drive accountability for financial performance across the portfolio.

Commercial Business Partnering

  • Partner with hotel leadership teams to improve revenue, productivity and profitability.
  • Present financial performance and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Translate financial data into meaningful commercial actions.

Risk & Governance

  • Ensure robust financial controls and governance processes are maintained.
  • Provide assurance over internal controls, compliance and financial integrity.
  • Support audit processes and risk management activities.

Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional finance team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and collaboration.
  • Champion operational excellence and process enhancements across the business.

About You

We're looking for an energetic and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and influencing decision-making at every level of the business.

You'll bring:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Cluster Financial Controller, Regional Finance or Finance Business Partnering role
  • Hospitality, hotels, leisure or multi-site sector experience is highly desirable
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering financial performance improvements
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people development skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with the ability to communicate complex financial information simply and effectively
  • Proficient in ERP systems, reporting tools and hotel PMS platforms

Skills Required

  • Fully qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
