Job Description
Vertex is seeking a Senior Manager Regional Finance to join our fast growing Central & Eastern Europe & Middle East business based in Munich. The individual will report into the Director Regional Finance at our Regional headquarters in Munich, Germany. Main task will be the support of Vertex's D/A/CH and Regional Finance operations as it relates to finance, accounting and internal controls.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Finance support for D/A/CH and Regional projects and consolidation
- Business partner to functional leads for all finance, accounting, tax and procurement related topics
- Provide effective leadership facilitating collaboration amongst shared service transactional groups and local stakeholders
- Support planning, forecasting and analysis for revenue, operational expenses and headcount across D/A/CH including tracking of risks & opportunities
- Support local team in analyzing and driving market KPIs
- Partner with local teams in setting and controlling field incentive scheme
- Actively shape D/A/CH market access strategy through scenario modelling
- Support negotiation of reimbursement deals with sick funds, hospitals and governmental authorities.
- Drive rigorous and transparent policies and procedures throughout the organization to comply with local and US requirements including generally accepted accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Work with international finance and corporate tax on all local statutory and tax filings
- Support the international strategic sourcing team as it relates to sourcing initiatives
- Occasional international travel required.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Business (Major in Accounting or Finance)
- Experience working within fast paced environment supporting regional business needs
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to navigate the corporate landscape, quickly establish credibility and build effective, collaborative, working relationships at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify key issues and value drivers, and translate strategic insights into an appropriate analytic framework
- Ability to work under pressure while still maintaining attention to detail and effective controls
- Established record in managing multiple and competing priorities
- A track record of proactively identifying problems and gaining consensus on potential solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Power BI and financial planning and reporting systems (Oracle Hyperion Planning, OBIEE); proficiency with simulation and scenario analysis.
