As Regional Controller you will be responsible for controlling of FLSmidth entities in for all European countries in Mining. This includes ensuring that financial reporting is completed on time and in high quality, performing financial analysis, assisting in the budget and estimate process, overseeing the internal and external activities of record keeping and reporting to management and Group Finance.
Your responsibilities

In support of the FP&A Manager assist in the coordination, preparation, and analysis of annual budget and quarterly estimates.

Oversee the month-end close process by reviewing business results country , prepared documents from GBS Genpact Chennai (Finance shared service), and provides analysis of Net Working Capital elements including WIP, Inventory, AR, and AP.

Ensures the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting using One Stream and validation of the quality of the underlying data prepared by financial shared service center.

Share responsibility with local business controllers in leading annual external audits for their respective entities according to both Group (IFRS) and local Gaap (preferably German Gaap (HGB) & Danish Gaap.

Provide adhoc analytical support as required, to include preparation of financial models to support business cases.

Develop system reports for managerial reporting and analysis.

Administer and ensures compliance of corporate policies, IFRS and local statutory requirements.

Assist in rolling out new software and upgrades.

Partner with GBS Genpact Chennai (Finance shared service) to address periodic issues and work to improve operational procedures.

Ensure department focus on continuous improvement.
What you bring
-
BCom/Accounting/CA/CPA or equivalent education.
-
Minimum of 5-8 years’ of experience as a Controller.
-
Self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
-
Deep knowledge to both IFRS and HGB is needed and basic knowledge about German tax would be an additional advantage.

Advanced Excel knowledge.
-
Attention to detail, problem-solving and strong organization skills.
-
Ability to work in a collaborative decision-making environment.
-
Oracle or OneStream experience is mandatory.

Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and to work in a team.
-
It is a plus to have experience in working with Financial Shared Service.

Experience in Power BI.

Foundational understanding of accounting, IRFS

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with colleagues/business from different cultures.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, German being an advantage.
