About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Fieldforce Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership across Francophone West Africa. This role is responsible for leading fieldforce operations, driving execution excellence, and ensuring the successful deployment of a hybrid engagement model to strengthen healthcare professional engagement, pharmacy excellence, brand growth, and commercial performance.

The successful candidate will lead and develop field teams, deliver business objectives, and foster a high-performance culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Fieldforce Leadership & Operations

  • Lead fieldforce operations across multiple markets within Francophone West Africa.
  • Drive execution of the hybrid engagement model across pharmacy and healthcare professional channels.
  • Ensure optimal territory deployment, coverage, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure achievement of key performance indicators and business objectives.

Commercial Performance

  • Deliver regional sales and market growth targets.
  • Translate strategic business priorities into effective field execution plans.
  • Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Drive the execution of promotional campaigns, detailing priorities, merchandising initiatives, and brand activations.
  • Identify opportunities to increase market penetration and customer engagement.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Hybrid Team Leaders and field teams.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess capabilities and provide coaching.
  • Champion continuous learning and best practice sharing across markets.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Drive excellence in CRM usage, reporting accuracy, and data quality.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical business conduct and operational governance.
  • Monitor execution quality and ensure consistency across all markets.

Reporting & Business Reviews

  • Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Provide performance updates, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Analyze sales, fieldforce, and customer engagement metrics to support decision-making.
  • Develop action plans to address performance gaps and capitalize on growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification or MBA will be advantageous.

Experience

  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, or related commercial environments.
  • Proven experience leading regional sales or fieldforce teams across multiple markets.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare professional engagement and pharmacy channels.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering sales growth and operational excellence.
