Hello! We're Teya.
Teya is a payment and software service provider, headquartered in London serving small, local businesses across Europe. Founded in 2019, we build easy to use, integrated tools that enable our members to accept payments and boost business performance.
At Teya we believe small, local businesses are the lifeblood of our communities.
We’re here because we don’t believe there’s a level playing field that gives small businesses with a fighting chance against the giants of the high street.
We’re here because we see banks and legacy service providers making things harder for them. We don’t think the best technology or the best service should be reserved for those with the biggest headquarters.
We’re here to fight for a future where small, local businesses can thrive, and to commit the same dedication they offer all of us.
Become a part of our story.
We’re looking for exceptional talent to join our mission. We offer a chance to create impact in a high-energy and connected culture, while benefiting from continuous learning opportunities, a supportive community which is proud to serve our mission, and comprehensive benefits.
Your Mission
We are seeking an ambitious and highly organised Regional Expansion Manager to join our New Market Entry team within the Office of the CEO. This is a high-impact role at the forefront of Teya’s growth into some of the most competitive and highly regulated financial services markets globally.
You will lead a small team of associates, own priority workstreams, and play a central role in building the foundations for Teya’s entry into new regions — from market intelligence to partner negotiations and operational readiness. This is an opportunity to help shape a market entry strategy from the ground up, with clear potential to transition into an in-market leadership role as our presence grows.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Market Intelligence
Direct the team’s research into customer needs, competitive landscape, multi-jurisdiction regulatory frameworks, and partnership opportunities in target markets.
Lead synthesis of insights into clear, actionable go-to-market recommendations for senior leadership.
Build and present business cases, including revenue forecasts and scenario modelling.
Partnership & Commercial Development
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with potential commercial, operational, and regulatory partners (e.g., technology providers, financial institutions, regulators, etc.).
Structure agreements that unlock market entry and long-term scalability.
Team Leadership & Delivery
Manage and coach a small team of associates, ensuring delivery of high-quality analysis and outputs.
Own project plans, budgets, and KPIs for assigned workstreams.
Track milestones and proactively resolve risks or bottlenecks.
Requirements
4–7 years of professional experience in financial services, fintech, consulting, or investment banking, ideally with exposure to mature, highly regulated markets.
Experience leading small teams or project workstreams in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Strong commercial acumen with an ability to balance analytical rigour and pragmatic decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing at senior levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL or data visualisation tools is a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the adaptability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving contexts.
