Credence has an upcoming need for a Data Scientist to support of the 9AF (AFCENT) Intelligence Directorate (9AF (AFCENT)/A2) Directorate mission in the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) area of responsibility (AOR) and Shaw Air Force Base (AFB), SC 29152.


Requirements
  • Provide expert support through research, analysis, collaboration, and authoring of intelligence products related to: emerging events in the AOR, Violent Extremist Organizations (VEO) within the AOR, adversary and partner nation leadership intent, cultural and religious dynamics, economic and political events of significance to the 9AF (AFCENT) mission; ensuring an emphasis on potential implications to 9AF (AFCENT) plans and/or operations. Products may include, but are not limited to PowerPoint presentations, formal messages, background papers, and items of interest, collection requirements, production requirements, RFI answers, and staff summary packages for general officers, CAOC/9AF (AFCENT) staff and supported unit reviews.
  • Provide critical oversight of training on predictive and forensic analysis, with focus on the environmental (physical), economic, and socio-cultural factors that drive intrapersonal and interstate dynamics, in the AOR.
  • Provide expert analytic support to 9AF (AFCENT) planning, by authoring and reviewing prioritized intelligence and production requirements, intelligence estimates, and annexes and appendices.
  • Serve as the adversary Airpower authority on 9AF (AFCENT)’s Red Team, during war-gaming and exercises, and in support of 9AF (AFCENT)’s adaptive planning processes.
  • As directed, leverage all formal and informal analytic exchanges, as well as training opportunities, in order to foster peer-to-peer collaboration, ensure thorough vetting of products, and deliberately pursue/maintain acuity on essential elements of tradecraft.
  • Maintain coordination/collaboration, critical to mission success, with: the National Command Authority; National, International, and Service Intelligence Centers; Combatant Commands, Air Components, and Wing Intelligence.
  • Maintain specialized intelligence and operations community accesses pertinent to their functional area, in order to enhance situational awareness and planning support. One, some, or all of the following may be required, and this list should not be considered definitive: ACCM, JSTO, Limited Distribution Geospatial Intelligence reporting, Limited Distribution Signals Intelligence reporting, and Limited Distribution Human Intelligence reporting.
  • Serve as Regional Dynamics subject matter expert and advisor to ACC and 51st Intelligence Squadron, providing analytic oversight and quality control to training, daily operations, and production of Threat to Air Operations (TTAO). TTAO products support the USAF’s Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures Manual 3-1, directing impacting how the USAF “trains to fight”.
