THE ROLE

As the senior representative for place‑based work in your region, you will define and deliver a tailored local strategy that aligns with the Bank’s wider objectives. You will draw on your commercial expertise, local market insight and the Bank’s full toolkit to catalyse investment activity and generate measurable outcomes.
Success in this role comes from building trusted, credible relationships with finance providers across the spectrum—BBB fund managers, banks, non‑banks and limited partners—using your technical understanding of equity and debt products to identify and shape opportunities. Your leadership will help create the right conditions for enhanced investment by working with both private and public partners to influence and deliver effective local structures and initiatives.
This position requires strong strategic capability, proven experience in dealmaking, and the confidence to operate as a key partner to senior stakeholders. It also calls for a leader who can guide a team directly while mobilising colleagues across the organisation behind a shared mission.

Skills Required
- Proven experience in dealmaking and structuring equity and debt transactions
- Strong strategic capability and experience defining and delivering local/regional strategies
- Demonstrable commercial expertise and ability to generate measurable investment outcomes
- Ability to build trusted relationships with fund managers, banks, non-banks and limited partners
- Leadership experience managing a team and mobilising colleagues across an organisation
- Technical understanding of equity and debt products
- Confidence engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and public/private partners
- Based in West Midlands and able to commute to the office as required
