Summary of job description:

The Regional Director (RD) of Field Medical is responsible for regional oversite of the Replimune Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team. In this capacity the RD will be responsible for recruiting, training, deploying, and managing a regional MSL team in support of Replimune clinical and business objectives. The RD will work closely with the National Director, Medical Affairs Sr. Leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and execute regional field medical activities in alignment with the overarching strategic plan. The preferred candidate will have significant experience working across therapeutic areas of relevance and the ability to serve as a leader/mentor for MSLs within the region.

Key responsibilities:

· Deploy regional resources to support and ensure attainment of business objectives. This includes adhering to regional fiscal budgets, dissemination of scientific information within corporate regulatory and compliance guidelines, managing team and individual performance within their duties, regional project management and quantifying and reporting regional results.

· Direct, coordinate and support the activities of the MSLs within a designated geographic region to achieve clinical and business objectives within a therapeutic area. This includes coaching and mentoring for a designated number of MSLs

· Work cross-functionally within Replimune to identify, develop, and implement MSL strategies and tactics while monitoring results and compliance.

· Responsible for competitive business analysis and clinical positioning of a designated therapeutic area in the region.

· Assist the National Director with business and clinical strategy and tactical plan development, and implementation, impact goal achievement, and quantification of results at the field level.

· Maintain business and clinical knowledge of designated therapeutic area, including current treatment strategies, current and pending competitors, and new therapeutic developments. Continually educate self on global market issues / trends and product knowledge as it pertains to specific business interests.

· Proactively analyze local and regional business needs by working in conjunction with the clinical and commercial organizations to identify opportunities where MSL function can enhance business results.

· Ensure MSL team members maintain adequate communication and interaction with the field colleagues when appropriate and according to compliance and regulatory guidelines.

· Ensure MSLs have the necessary tools, training, and materials to perform effectively and efficiently

· Responsible for providing consistent and timely feedback to MSLs regarding their individual performance and progress, including annual performance reviews, growth and succession planning, and real time field reports based upon regular field travel.

· Proactively address performance issues in accordance with Replimune’s guidelines.

· Ensure MSL team members update and maintain all required databases with current and complete information. Ensure appropriate documentation of KOL interactions and responses to unsolicited requests and conduct routine audits and reports to the National Director.

· Appropriately allocate resources as requested to support franchise and business initiatives. Insure cross functional integration of the MSL team at the field level to maximize strategic initiatives.

· Complete special projects with overall organizational impact at request of the National Director.

· Responsible for identifying new projects that will enhance business success and bringing them to the attention of Sr. leadership

· Serve as mentor and trainer for other managers and new hires.

· Identify opportunities for cross-functional integration of MSL roles and activities at the field level.

· Communicate regional activities and results to the Senior Director and other cross-functional leadership.

· Ensure team member adherence to regulatory and compliance guidelines in all aspects of scientific dissemination of information.

Other responsibilities:

· Other duties as assigned.

Educational requirements:

· Advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, or PhD) is strongly preferred. Candidates without an advanced degree are required to have at least 2 years of industry MSL team leadership experience in the therapeutic area, and 8+ years overall related experience.

Experience and skill requirement:

· Leadership experience with direct reports is strongly preferred

· Ability to efficiently manage time and priorities.

· Strong leadership skills and the ability to compile and disseminate information to others in a cohesive fashion to assure a clear understanding of project status and direction.

· Solid understanding of drug development and life-cycle development of a product.

· Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with thought leaders and to establish trust through the consistent demonstration of scientific expertise and satisfactory follow-through to requests from thought-leaders; the ability to work effectively with key decision makers, both within and outside the Company.

· Willingness to travel.

Salary Range

Replimune is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices, and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $256,000-331,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s unique set of qualifications, skills, and experience. Our current organizational needs also play a part in determining your final offer.

At Replimune, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The selected candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity. Replimune also offers various benefits offerings, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k match, flexible time off, and a number of paid holidays including year-end shutdown.
