The Role
We are currently seeking an established Regional Director - Energy to manage the sub-sector across the Central Asia region, based out of Kazakhstan.
As the Regional Director in the Central Asia, you play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic landscape by not only overseeing the day-to-day operations, but also growing and developing our business across the region.
Your responsibilities extend to ensuring the highest standards of operational and technical excellence, navigating the complexities of profit and loss management, and championing the development and mobilization of resources within the Central Asia Region.
Beyond these core functions, your leadership is instrumental in cultivating strong client relationships, contributing to the overall growth and success of SMEC.
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- 15+ years in the industry with proven success in Senior Management roles.
- Expertise in managing large-scale Renewables, Power & Gas and Energy Transition projects, client relationships, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; postgraduate and project management qualifications highly regarded.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and market trends across the Central Asia.
- High level communication skills, including negotiating and resolving highly complex commercial, technical and people matters. Russian Speaking would be an advantage.
