Regional Director, Commercial Operations

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for leading the Commercial Operations team for two PCH sites, supporting the Business Development teams and the site Operations teams by providing commercial management of existing customer relationships and providing leadership and support to potential new customers and their business development opportunities. The position is also responsible for coordinating with senior management, business development, and operations and leading the negotiation of pricing and commercial and development contracts which support the manufacturing business.

The Role:

  • Act as key relationship manager for customers (existing and new) working with two PCH sites sites and ensure a superior level of communication occurs between the parties
  • Cooperate with Legal, Finance, Business Development and Operations to prepare Supply Agreements for targeted customers and serve as lead negotiator and execute Supply Agreements with support from Executive Leadership and Business Development (BD)
  • Provide leadership and support to Comm Ops Manager and Client Services Managers on strategy/negotiation of quotations, development agreements and commercial supply agreements
  • Track commercial supply agreements and development proposals to ensure capture of relevant provisions (e.g., fees, price increases, margin evaluations, KPIs, forecasts, renewals)
  • Coordinate and organize Customer visits to site, champion Customer Experience Excellence initiatives for the site
  • Serve as value pricing leader for assigned sites/technologies and appropriately manage and execute against identified value pricing opportunities. Work with VP of BD and site team to implement value pricing practices and processes. Support the BD and Site team in reporting and tracking functions
  • Work as an integral member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), working closely with site GM, Site Directors, and BD team to identify and pursue current fiscal year revenue opportunities with existing customers
  • Collaborate with other Business Unit BD teams in the construction and execution of their strategic account plan(s), if applicable
  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration or other related field, Masters of business administration preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing, quality or regulatory, general business management, technical project management and analysis
  • Relevant industry knowledge of drug product development, analytical research and development, project scale-up, product manufacturing, quality, validations, and regulatory
  • Experienced contract negotiator
