Regional Controller – Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia)

Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sub-regional Controller to oversee the finance operations for Marsh and Guy Carpenter businesses in the Middle East region, excluding Saudi Arabia. This is a senior leadership role responsible for:
- Serving as the designated finance officer for regulated businesses in the region
- Presenting financial updates and insights to the local boards of directors
- Managing a team of 4-8 finance professionals and collaborating with the shared service center in Mumbai
- Ensuring compliance with all local tax, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Partnering closely with the business leaders to provide strategic financial inputs
- Driving continuous improvement in financial processes and controls
Job Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in the insurance/brokerage industry
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively liaise with business leaders, boards, and regulators
- Expertise in audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting for multinational organizations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs
- Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification
- Experience working in a shared service model and leading a geographically distributed team
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working in the Middle East region, particularly in the UAE
- Familiarity with the local regulatory and tax environment in the target countries
- Exposure to consulting or professional services businesses
