The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Manager – Capex & MRO Procurement to join our team. This role is responsible for managing procurement activities for related categories across plants and corporate offices in Latin America. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Capital Expenditure Procurement, working close to Engineering and Finance, plus Catalogs and Integrators implementation for MRO purchases, excellent negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of the Latin American market and regulations.
This position requires a professional with high resilience, expertise in change management and project management, and a strong ability to drive supplier cost efficiency (Cost Breakdown analysis) while ensuring compliance with labor laws and procurement best practices. The role demands a customer service-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead MRO and Capex Procurement activities across Latin America for both industrial plants and corporate offices.

Develop and implement integrators for MRO as a service model, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Drive negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and service levels.

Conduct cost breakdown analysis to optimize supplier pricing and improve financial efficiency.

Ensure compliance with regional labor laws, procurement regulations, and corporate policies.

Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and vendor relationships to support long-term business objectives.

Lead change management initiatives, driving process improvements and stakeholder alignment.

Develop and execute strategic sourcing projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and industry benchmarks.

Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on procurement performance and savings opportunities.

 

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields.

Proven experience in Capex and MRO procurement within large multinational organizations.

Expertise in negotiation, project management, and change management.

Strong knowledge of labor laws, procurement regulations, and supplier cost structures across Latin America.

Experience in implementing and managing a large portfolio of Capex projects across all countries.

Highly analytical mindset, with the ability to assess financial data and supplier cost structures.

Customer service-oriented approach, ensuring business needs are met effectively.

Ability to work remotely, managing regional stakeholders and suppliers.

Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
