Position Summary
As a Regional Assistant Product Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the success of Samsung Air Solutions in the Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO) region. Collaborating with key stakeholders from subsidiaries and the Suwon office (in South Korea), you will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy tailored to each market and providing marketing support. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with subsidiaries and the Suwon office, as well as the ability to build and maintain robust relationships in this fast-paced environment. Your efforts will ensure the effective delivery of strategic initiatives.Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee the Samsung Air Conditioner product portfolio for both B2C and B2B in the SEAO region
- Collaborate with Suwon office to drive product portfolio management and product roadmap ensuring optimal product mix and pricing strategies for profitable growth in SEAO
- Develop, execute and improve go-to-market strategies including product positioning, market segmentation, channel mix and competitive landscape
- Maintain a clear understanding of market trends, competitors’ landscape, customer strategies and challenges. Formulate and execute strategic plans in collaboration with subsidiaries
- Conduct regular market sensing, pin-to-pin competitor benchmarking, analysing product specifications, pricing by segments and key promotions
- Manage the performance of new product launches, including developing and maintain KPI dashboard
- As the product expert, you will identify the marketing support required and create compelling marketing materials such as digital assets, product brochures, sales and marketing toolkits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop multi touch point marketing campaigns that drive awareness, lead generation and partner engagement (including online and offline)
- Own and manage SEAO sales & marketing assets/tools and marketing budget
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
- 6+ years’ experience in product management / development in relevant industries
- Strong business acumen and commercial mindset to connect technology, product features and customer benefits
- Creative thinking abilities to develop innovative product sales & marketing toolkits
- Understanding of branding principles and ability to adhere to brand guidelines
- Experience in international, multi-cultural / multi-layered, dynamic environment
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Agility and resilience to work and influence within Samsung matrix environment at a local, regional and global level
- Structured and strong in analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Occasional travel within Southeast Asia & Oceania and to Suwon office in South Korea
