What's the opportunity?
We are looking for a regional Accountant based in Vietnam to own all accounting matters for the country’s entities and some other entities within the region. You will be the primary point of contact for the preparation, control, and presentation of financial information — from day-to-day reconciliations through to monthly reporting packages and audit support. This role sits within the Finance division and reports to the Regional Accounting Lead.
What will I be doing?
Own the full accounting cycle for the Vietnam entity, including accounts payable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and expense and budget tracking.
Provide all inputs needed for outsourced advisors to prepare P&L, balance sheet, and bank reconciliation reports.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for the parent organization.
Control, review, and approve accounting information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Analyse deviations in financial data and explain the underlying reasons clearly to internal stakeholders.
Support the global and local audit processes, attending to auditor requirements and providing supporting documentation for tax presentations.
Elaborate monthly SOX controls and ensure their timely completion.
Liaise with multiple internal departments (Treasury, Tax, FIN OPS, Operations, etc.) to gather the information needed for accurate reporting.
Provide other departments with financial information and recommendations backed by thorough analysis.
Support the consolidation process and help drive process improvements within the regional accounting function.
What skills do I need?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
Proven experience in accounting roles with similar responsibilities, ideally within a multinational or fintech/financial services environment.
Solid understanding of Vietnamese accounting standards and tax regulations; knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
Hands-on experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Fluent written and spoken English; Vietnamese proficiency required.
High sense of ownership, integrity, and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
