Regional Account Representative Specialty Films
The Specialty Films business in the EMEA region develops solutions for a broad customer base with focus on the segments Automotive, Medical and ID/ Securities as well as industrial and consumer applications. The Regional Sales Manager supports the implementation of the segment-specific marketing and sales strategies. You act as first level in technical consultation regarding selection of suitable film products, their properties, and methods of application.

- Major tasks and responsibilities:
- Identify and understand needs of the customers and market trends and based on this, select suitable products within the comprehensive product portfolio of principal and introduce them to the customers.
- Act as first point of contact towards customers and help to solve critical issues around orders (e.g. logistics, product quality/specifications, shortage of material).
- Communicate all business decisions taken by the principal to the customer, coordinate all account related business activities and support achievement of principal`s sales targets.
- Facilitate conclusion of principal`s agreements with customers.
- Collect, analyze and provide market information on customers (e.g. related financial statistics), competition, market prices, industry sectors, raw material trends and other business relevant data to the principal.
- Provide support and local insights to the principal for the development of the sales strategy and marketing plan.
- Monitor relevant local regulations and laws which might influence principals’ business and inform the principal accordingly.
- Support the sale of Covestro products by participation at trade fairs and proposing advertising in appropriate journals, as example.
- Ensure compliance with Covestro`s compliance regulations.
- Represent Covestro in local industry associations.
What You Offer
- Education: degree in a mechanical and/or engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years business experience, including sales experience.
- Technical skills to consult the customers on existing and new products and applications.
- The position holder should possess managerial skills that include critical thinking, organization, decisiveness, planning and sound judgment.
- The candidate must have the ability to work with diverse cultures and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
- Position holder must be able to motivate, coach and direct a broad spectrum of people without reporting line and with different cultural background.
- Customer-oriented, selling and communication skills, interpersonal skills (team player, listening skills), highly motivated, disciplined and well organized.
- Strong language skills (fluent in local official language and English is mandatory).
- Computer literacy at operational level (MS-Office, SAP, CRM).
- Driving license.
- Experiences in international companies in a similar role.
Salary
- Salary: 3,100 – 4,300 EUR/month (gross), depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, and performance.
- Business car or car allowance.
