Regional Account Manager - Public Sector
Location: West -Germany
In this key sales role, you will support and drive business growth across Public Sector accounts in the
Western region of Germany. You will work closely with the field sales organization to accelerate opportunity
development, execute account strategies, and ensure high-quality engagement with customers and partners.
Your focus is to strengthen Fortinet’s position in strategic Public Sector accounts, coordinate activities across
the region, and help secure the successful closing of opportunities.
You will build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers, support the creation of tailored
proposals and public procurement responses, and ensure that all internal stakeholders are aligned. This role
requires excellent communication skills, strong sales execution, and the ability to manage a fast-moving
pipeline.
Responsibilities
• Support and co-develop account plans to achieve regional goals and exceed quota.
• Identify and maximize Fortinet opportunities by positioning value-added security solutions to Public
Sector institutions.
• Act as the central point of contact for information flow between customers, account teams, and
executive management.
• Work closely with NAM, RAM, SEs, and internal teams to drive territory success and ensure high-
quality execution of all activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and partners within
the Public Sector ecosystem.
• Coordinate and contribute to high-quality contract bids, proposals, RFI/RFP responses, and
Statements of Work.
• Support deal structuring and negotiation to enable win/win outcomes and sustainable customer
relationships.
• Maintain an accurate, consistently updated pipeline and forecast.
Required Skills & Experience
• 3+ years of experience in technology or cybersecurity sales (inside or field).
• Proven ability to sell solutions into Public Sector environments.
• Strong understanding of the network security industry and related technologies.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals.
• Experience working with complex sales cycles, ideally including public procurement processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills via phone and video.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to collaborate eWectively across multiple internal teams.
