Based in our regional hub in Birmingham, this role plays a key leadership role in shaping our regional commercial strategy to ensure we build the platform of choice across the West Midlands for restaurants and eaters.

The role is focused on accelerating growth across Birmingham and the surrounding area, leading a dedicated account management team that manages our most important local merchant partners. You will need to balance deep commercial insights, local nuance and empathy for your team and partners to drive the business forward, ensuring our top partners consistently succeed on Uber Eats.

As an Account Management Lead, you will provide hands-on leadership to your team, turning real-world complexities into strategic opportunities and results. This role requires high visibility on the ground—setting the standard for execution, local experience and navigating ambiguity to solve the multifaceted intersection of technology and real-world application.

We’re looking for a commercially minded, people-first leader who truly understands Birmingham’s business landscape and food scene, allowing them to inspire teams, build structured commercial processes and remain relentlessly partner-focused. You’ll bring first-hand experience in fast-growth, client-facing environments, acting as a strong collaborative thought partner to both your team and senior regional stakeholders.

What you’ll do

Lead & Develop: Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to Account Managers, embedding a high-performance culture to build trusted relationships and co-create partner growth plans.

Drive Regional Growth: Own your team’s regional performance by inspecting pipeline health and dashboards, course-correcting quickly when shifting priorities create pressure points.

Navigate Complexity: Manage internal and market complexity across Birmingham and the West Midlands, effectively balancing short-term targets with long-term partner health.

Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing and Product teams to influence scalable solutions and eliminate friction points for regional merchants.

Activate Commercial Levers: Drive the adoption of new products, marketing tools and commercial workflows across your territory, making fast, thoughtful decisions even with imperfect data.

Portfolio Discipline: Manage a complex merchant portfolio with urgency and focus, ensuring team resilience through tough commercial negotiations and evolving workflows.

Who you’ll be

Birmingham & West Midlands Market Expertise: Deep commercial understanding of the Birmingham and wider West Midlands business ecosystem, with local insights to navigate regional market dynamics and merchant needs.

Commercial Leadership: 5+ years of experience in Account Management or Sales, with a proven track record of managing complex partner portfolios and handling direct customer responsibility.

People Development: 3+ years of dedicated people management or team leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to coach sellers and build high-performing teams in rapid-growth environments.

Operational Excellence: Strong systems-thinking and analytical skills; proficient in using data and CRM tools such as Salesforce to manage pipelines, forecast accurately and optimise commercial processes.

Strategic Problem Solving: A resilient, resourceful leader capable of navigating ambiguity, making high-stakes decisions under pressure and solving multifaceted regional challenges.

Cross-Functional Influence: Highly collaborative communicator skilled at aligning stakeholders across multiple functional areas to drive scalable business solutions.

Preferred: Experience in B2B technology sales or the hospitality and restaurant industry.
