In this role, you will assist with managing various stages of sample development, ensuring timely deliverables, and providing support to other team members as needed. You will be responsible for collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams while diligently monitoring and tracking sample products. The Softgoods Engineer will also maintain daily communication with both vendors and the Figure R&D team.

  • Conduct vendor quality control checks before each shipment to ensure product standards are met
  • Actively participate in weekly cross-functional development meetings to identify and resolve potential issues
  • Champion change, taking calculated risks when necessary, and demonstrating flexibility to meet evolving project needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience/training
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Product Development or Production
  • Strong understanding of the product cycle and development timelines
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of Softgood constructions, including cut & sew, fit, and finish
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to diverse audiences
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Ability to travel to vendor locations regularly (at least once per month) to inspect products and update vendors on necessary changes
  • 3+ years of experience using 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Alias, or Catia

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced product testing or materials development
  • Familiarity with global manufacturing practices and supply chain management

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
