A Day in the Life
- This position manages referrals both into and out of the clinic, including prior authorizations, medical records, and other communication.
- Efficiently calling patients and scheduling appointments, verify insurance, and demographics
- This role requires superior customer relationship skills and the proven ability to communicate. effectively and accurately, both verbally and in writing with all levels.
- The ideal candidate has the ability to operate under frequently stressful conditions due to constantly changing requirements of healthcare and is able to adapt by embracing and supporting change as necessary to obtain operational and performance efficiencies.
What’s Required
- Associate degree in health services administration or related field; and at least three (3) years’ experience in related field with advancing experience.
- In lieu of an associate degree, candidate must have 5 years of experience in health care.
- Knowledge of MHC’s automated information systems, such as Cerner, PWS, Microsoft products, and Order Checker, preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products is highly preferred.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
Skills Required
- Associate degree in health services administration or related field
- At least three (3) years' experience in a related healthcare field with advancing experience
- In lieu of an associate degree, five (5) years of healthcare experience
- Knowledge of MHC automated information systems (Cerner, PWS, Order Checker) and Microsoft products
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior customer relationship skills and proven verbal and written communication ability
- Ability to operate under frequently stressful conditions and adapt to changing requirements
