Overview
A critical priority for Asset Wealth Management is to ensure that a comprehensive set of high-quality data is available to run our business and meet client needs. The Asset Wealth Management (AWM) Chief Data Office (CDO) was established in 2014 to define AWM's core data strategy. This includes data for clients and accounts, products, securities prices, transactions and holdings, indexes, benchmarks, performance and analytics. The AWM CDO is positioned in the Asset Wealth Management Operations division within AWM Center. We work with the AWM business and Firm wide CDO to analyze data, establish data quality standards and ensure data governance. We partner with the business and technology to implement data systems and process solutions.
Job Responsibilities & Activities
You will work as part of AWM CDO Data Remediation team as a Reference Data Management Operations Specialist within JP Morgan's Asset and Wealth Management Lines of Business. This role would suit someone who has some experience in remediation activities related to Client On-boarding/KYC/Data Management projects.
Job responsibilities

  • Analyze datasets to identify inconsistencies, errors, and anomalies
  • Perform data cleansing activities to correct or remove inaccurate, incomplete, or irrelevant data
  • Implement data correction procedures based on predefined rules and guidelines
  • Validate data corrections to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct regular data quality checks and audits to maintain data integrity
  • Document data remediation processes, methodologies, and findings.
  • Prepare and present reports on data quality issues and remediation efforts to stakeholders
  • Work closely with data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and issues.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement data remediation solutions
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in data remediation activities.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance data management skills
  • Ensure data remediation activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data during remediation processes
  • Provide support for data-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of data quality issues and recommend corrective actions


Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • You must have at least 2 years of experience in Financial Services with Data Management / Data Quality / Business Analysis background
  • Client Onboarding and/or KYC knowledge is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge on enterprise tools such as Customer Assist / Party Central preferred
  • Good analytical skills: Quickly define and deconstruct problems. Identify patterns. Identify root causes. Proposes multiple solution paths
  • Experience performing four or more of the following functions: Root Cause Analysis, business analysis, technical analysis, process flow mapping, remediation
  • Querying large database for data analysis using SQL is a plus
  • Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, charts, etc.,)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and across disciplines in a virtual organization
  • Good to have exposure to tools such as Alteryx / Tableau / UiPath / Snowflake
  • Good to have experience with preparing PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences
