Responsibilities- Manage the creation and ongoing maintenance of customer accounts, security, and pricing data across multiple systems and teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Read and interpret complex financial documents, including prospectuses and securities offering materials, to accurately extract and apply data relevant to reference data management.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve data quality and enhance service delivery standards across the team.
- Liaise with international system teams in English to coordinate data-related processes and resolve issues effectively.
- Guide and support junior team members by providing direction, evaluating their work, and identifying training needs to maintain delivery standards.
- Coordinate and oversee project initiatives end to end, ensuring junior staff complete their assigned tasks and overall milestones are met on time.
- Assess risk considerations when contributing to business decisions, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and conduct standards, and escalating control concerns promptly and transparently.
- Native-level Japanese reading proficiency, with the ability to comprehend advanced financial documents such as prospectuses and securities offering materials.
- Advanced English communication skills, sufficient for written and verbal liaison with overseas system and operations teams.
- Up to 2 years of experience in client, counterparty, or account data management within a financial services organization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify gaps, and translate findings into actionable process or policy recommendations.
- Clear understanding of client needs and the ability to factor those expectations into data quality and service delivery outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Verbal Japanese communication skills that support effective day-to-day collaboration with team members.
- A financial services qualification such as the Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) or an equivalent credential.
- Familiarity with industry practices and standards related to reference data management within global financial markets.
- Experience working across multiple teams or systems in a cross-functional operational environment.
