The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will not just write code—you will own problem spaces end-to-end. From shaping scope to aligning across functions, you’ll drive technical excellence and delivery within the team. You’ll mentor and coach other engineers, help set the quality bar, and influence the long-term architecture and culture of the engineering organization.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be expected to contribute directly, while also enabling others to deliver and grow.
What You’ll Do
- Own projects end-to-end: from scoping, design, and implementation to delivery and ongoing improvement.
- Drive technical alignment and foster collaboration across functions and teams.
- Set and maintain the engineering quality bar through best practices, reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor, coach, and support the growth of other engineers on the team.
- Balance architectural decisions with business needs, scalability, and delivery timelines.
- Design and build maintainable, extensible, and performance-minded services / APIs.
- Advocate for modern engineering practices.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, with a proven ability to own and deliver complex projects.
- Strong background in backend development (Node.js / Typescript / JavaScript, ideally in microservices or serverless architectures).
- Experience with NoSQL data stores (MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; you thrive in cross-functional settings.
- Strong grasp of Agile development practices.
- Experience delivering APIs used by web, mobile, and/or third-party partners.
Skills Required
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
