What will you be doing in this role?
- Configuration, Deployment and Maintenance of containerized applications on OpenShift (manifests, Helm, Templates, Operators…)
- Managing namespaces / projects for applications (RBAC, quotas, limit ranges, resource management etc.)
- Configuration of application exposure and routing (Routes, Services, TLS, external access, load balancing)
- Implementation and maintennace of application security (SCC, PodSecurity, Network Policies, secrets' rotation)
- Application scaling and optimisation (resource tuning, performance troubleshooting)
- Support for development teams (pod troubleshooting, logs, events, restarts, rollbacks)
- Collaboration on requests for new functionalities / resources for applications
- Monitoring application health and performance (alerts, dashboards, capacity planning)
- Preparing and updating documentation for applications, SOPs, application runbooks
Requirements
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Have at least a Bachelor's degree &minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in IT, out of which 3 years in a similar position working with OpenShift applications (deployment, troubleshooting, scaling, application configuration).
- Hold a RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator or an equivalent certification.
- Experience in managing projects/namespaces for applications (creation, quotas, limit ranges, RBAC).
- Practical knowledge in configuring and troubleshooting Routes / Services / Ingress for applications (TLS, path-based routing etc.).
- Experience in implementing Network Policies and Security Constraints on application / namespace level.
- Knowledge of application monitoring and logging (built-in OpenShift tools + Prometheus, Grafana, app-specific metrics).
- Expertise in GitOps / ArgoCD, Helm charts - application of changes from Git to specific namespaces / apps.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with proficiency in Ansible, Python, Helm charts.
- Experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining containerized applications in RedHat OpenShift.
- Expertise in working with YAML / Helm charts, OpenShift templates for application deployment.
- Knowledge of OpenShift application model: Projects / Namespaces, Service Accounts, Secrets, ConfigMaps etc.
- Knowledge of application security settings (Pod Security Admission / Standards, Security Context Constraints, Network Policies per app, image signing / scanning).
- Experience in scaling and optimisation of applications (Horizontal Pod Autoscaler, Vertical Pod Autoscaler, resource requests/limits, probes).
- Knowledge of application exposure (Routes, Services, Ingress, ExternalName, TLS termination, API Gateway patterns).
- Experience in CI/CD for OpenShift applications (pipelines, Jenkins, ArgoCD / GitOps).
- Proficiency in English language at a minimum B2 level proven by a certification.
