The Role

Job Description 

Extendicare is seeking a Recruitment Partner to join our Talent Acquisition team. In this role, you will support full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and advising hiring managers throughout the process. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will play a key role in attracting top talent across the organization.

As a brand ambassador for Extendicare, you will also help strengthen our employer presence through online platforms and recruitment events.

This role is located at our Markham, ON Head Office. Extendicare offers a hybrid working environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead all aspects of the recruitment cycle, intake, sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation.

  • Partner with hiring leaders to understand role requirements and develop recruitment strategies.  

  • Use data and analytics to provide insight to recruitment trends and ensure KPI’s are being met.

  • Collaborate with HR business partners and outside vendors.

  • Update and manage candidate activity in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) – Workday.

  • Develop effective sourcing strategies, building strong talent pipelines for current and future recruitment.

  • Work on assigned projects to support and continue to develop the corporate recruitment strategy.

  • Facilitate in person and online recruitment training for hiring leaders.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years work experience as a Corporate Recruiter for all levels of professional positions in a corporate environment. Preference for candidates who have supported areas such as Finance, IT, HR.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment projects and open roles simultaneously in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

  • Ability to identify and implement innovative approaches to recruiting. 

  • Collaborative team player who can manage competing demands and needs of multiple stakeholders simultaneously. 

  • Action oriented and ability to deliver results. 

  • Proficiency with ATS and other platforms (Workday, LinkedIn preferred)

  • In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition best practices in accordance with Employment legislation.

  • Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decision-making processes.
