Kaluza wants to power a world where net-zero is within everyone’s reach, by building the platform that will accelerate a sustainable, affordable and resilient energy transition. It’s a huge challenge, but often the toughest problems are the most rewarding to solve.
Since launching in 2019, Kaluza’s technology has been empowering some of the biggest energy suppliers to better serve millions of customers.
From revolutionising billing to smart electric vehicle charging, our real-time cloud platforms transform supplier operations, reducing cost to serve and boosting engagement. And most importantly, they enable suppliers' customers to drive decarbonisation with smart, low carbon technologies.
Kaluza is currently in an exciting growth phase, undergoing the next phase of our international expansion in Melbourne to further reinforce our capabilities as a globally distributed energy platform.
Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?
You’ll be joining the People Team at Kaluza - a team of around 20 spread across London, Bristol, Edinburgh, and now Melbourne!
Our Kaluza HQ is in the UK, where we currently have over 450 people - you’ll join the team in Melbourne where we have 45 people and growing (with 2 in the People Team).
You’ll be reporting into our People Lead.
What will I be doing?
We’re looking for a Recruitment Partner to join the Kaluza team on a 6 month fixed term contract to support as we scale our team in Melbourne.
You’ll be building relationships across Kaluza, getting to know your stakeholders and working with them to find the right candidates to drive our zero carbon mission forwards - all whilst keeping diversity, equity and inclusion at the heart of everything that you do.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across hiring in all teams in Melbourne, however the majority of our growth will primarily be within our Technology & Product teams.
Within this role you will be responsible for:
- Understanding requirements and utilising a range of sourcing techniques to connect with diverse talent and champion Kaluza as a great place to work
- Posting job ads, reviewing resumes through our ATS Greenhouse, conducting initial phone screenings, and scheduling interviews with the hiring teams
- Delivering timely and detailed feedback to candidates at every touchpoint that they have with our teams
- Early pre-boarding activities alongside our People Operations and Tech Services teams, for both permanent employees and Third Party contractors
- Ensuring diverse candidate pipelines and shortlists
- Making sure our tools, such as Greenhouse, Workday, LinkedIn and hiring platforms have relevant and up to date content, and we are using them in the most efficient and inclusive way.
Is this the job for me?
About You
Ideally you’ll have/be
- Previous experience as a Recruitment Partner as part of an in-house recruiting team in a high growth tech start up or scale up - ideally hiring Software Engineers.
- This could also suit someone with agency experience (specifically in Tech) looking to make a move in house.
- Excellent communication skills and high level attention to detail
- The ability to build relationships, influence and challenge stakeholders to deliver effective talent processes
- Experience in DE&I best practices in hiring processes
What will set you apart
- A passion for delivering exceptional candidate experiences
- The ability to iterate and adapt in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments
- A flair for creative solutions to interesting problems
- Knowledge of Greenhouse and/or Workday
- Experience with sourcing candidates
Why might this role not suit you?
We are a small, but highly focused team which means we’re looking for someone who enjoys connection and collaboration, but who can operate confidently and independently.
We are going through a period of significant evolution which is exciting and with it brings lots of opportunity and challenging work, which is not for everyone. To be successful in this role, you will be excellent at operating in ambiguous, changing environments, balancing multiple priorities simultaneously.
