LMI Technologies is looking for an ambitious and growth-oriented Recruitment Coordinator to be the proactive driving force behind our talent acquisition efforts. Working as part of LMI’s global HR team and reporting to the HR Manager at our headquarters in Burnaby, you will manage the full recruitment life cycle for a diverse set of roles, champion our Co-op Ambassador program, and serve as a key custodian of the LMI employment brand across all online channels. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure an exceptional candidate experience while providing vital operational support to our global HR team.
Recruitment Cycle and Operations

  • Manage the full cycle talent acquisition process for operational hourly positions, co-op and select salaried roles.
  • Proactively identify, recommend, and implement improvements to day-to-day recruitment operations (coordination, onboarding, reporting, etc.), focusing on administrative excellence, automation, and efficiency.
  • Exhibit an inquisitive nature by collaborating with hiring managers to exceed their recruitment needs through great internal customer focus.
  • Enable world class recruitment processes to ensure a positive candidate and internal customer experience.

University/Co-op Program

  • Drive and manage our Co-op Ambassador program which includes interviewing current co-ops and providing details of how they can be an LMI Ambassador and what the program entails.
  • Manage our co-op grants application and administration.
  • Promote LMI’s co-op opportunities through university/college events like career fairs and information sessions. 

Employer Branding and Processes

  • Act as a strong brand ambassador to promote LMI’s employment brand by managing LMI’s careers site, social media (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.), and best workplace certifications.
  • Post new job listings on our careers site as well as maintain external job posting sponsorships.
  • Drive new employee onboarding processes and conduct orientations as well as offboarding processes.
  • Leverage initiative to optimize recruitment processes, systems (including the ATS), and workflows to ensure a world-class candidate and internal customer experience.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity by continuously researching and applying best practices for employer branding and talent sourcing.
Education and QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of recruitment related administrative experience.
  • Solid experience recruiting for hourly or operational roles especially in manufacturing and/or operations.
  • Good understanding of social media and social recruitment tools.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated track record of responsiveness, meticulous attention to detail, and proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite, including building and using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven track-record of responsiveness, prioritization and meeting deadlines.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the technology industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and curiosity, consistently seeking feedback, and viewing challenges as opportunities for development.
  • Highly proactive and ambitious, exhibiting the self-starter initiative necessary to take full ownership of projects and drive continuous improvement.

Salary Range: $51,500 - $76,000 CAD + Eligibility for Profit Sharing Program Participation (pending successful completion of probationary period and based on business performance)
