Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Execution & Planning
Own the recruitment process through year-one onboarding for assigned locations/teams.
Help implement the recruitment strategy set by HR leadership, tailoring execution to business priorities and seasonal hiring cycles.
Partner with local and regional business leaders to identify staffing needs and build proactive recruiting plans.
Support workforce planning efforts by supplying accurate hiring data and forecasts to leadership.
Assist operations with maintaining a sustainable hiring forecast for assigned areas.
Recruiting Operations & Process Excellence
Supervise full-cycle recruiting operations for drivers and non-drivers, ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate and hiring-manager experience.
Identify and recommend improvements to recruitment processes, workflows, and service delivery for greater efficiency.
Ensure recruiting practices comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
Priority & Hard-to-Fill Role Support
Support recruitment for priority, high-impact, and hard-to-fill roles within assigned scope.
Build talent pipelines through local partnerships, networking, and strategic sourcing.
Advise hiring managers on interview practices and share talent market insights.
Talent Attraction, Branding & Technology
Promote and reinforce the Highway Transport brand — Our Promise. Delivered. and Our Promise. Kept. — in all candidate-facing activities.
Use digital recruitment tools, including CRM, ATS, AI-enabled sourcing, and social recruitment, to support hiring goals.
Coordinate with external vendors, job platforms, and technology providers as needed.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5+ years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with prior experience leading or supervising others preferred.
Demonstrated success executing recruiting plans and meeting hiring goals.
Experience partnering with hiring managers and operations leaders.
Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with ATS systems, sourcing tools, and recruitment reporting.
Preferred
Experience in multi-site or high-volume recruiting environments.
Background in driver or supply chain/transportation recruiting.
Familiarity with employer branding and recruitment marketing.
Workday experience.
