Job Description: Recruiting Manager
The Recruiting Manager is responsible for directing the recruitment strategy, candidate sourcing, and onboarding processes to secure top-tier talent within the transportation brokerage industry. This position demands a strategic and proactive leader with extensive knowledge of recruitment trends, superior interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to cultivating high-performing teams to support the organization’s expanding operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Formulate and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to identify, engage, and onboard qualified professionals.

Partner with department leaders to evaluate staffing requirements, develop precise job descriptions, and define the transportation brokerage sector hiring criteria.

Leverage diverse sourcing channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and employee referrals, to attract exceptional candidates.

Review resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and facilitate subsequent interviews with hiring managers to ensure a streamlined and professional candidate experience.

Establish and nurture a robust pipeline of passive candidates for key positions, proactively addressing anticipated staffing needs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Oversee the complete hiring lifecycle, from offer negotiation through onboarding, to ensure seamless integration and success for new hires.

Monitor industry trends, labor market dynamics, and competitor recruitment practices to sustain a competitive advantage in talent acquisition.

Enhance the organization’s employer brand through strategic engagement on digital platforms, career fairs, and industry events, positioning Syfan Companies as a premier employer.

Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation preferred, though not mandatory.

Minimum of five years of recruitment experience, with a preference for expertise in transportation or logistics.

Proficiency with recruitment tools and platforms, including Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and job boards such as Indeed.

Demonstrated experience with Workday or similar enterprise recruitment systems is highly desirable.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to forge strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders.

Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.

Knowledge of the transportation brokerage industry, including critical roles and requisite competencies, is advantageous.

Unwavering professionalism, integrity, and discretion in managing confidential information.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office setting and involves routine use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, and printers.
Physical Demands

This is predominantly a sedentary position; however, occasional filing tasks necessitate the ability to lift files, access filing cabinets, and bend or stoop as needed. This role may also require lifting office materials and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds on occasion.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with some flexibility in scheduling. Availability during core business hours is required to ensure operational alignment.

Introductory Period:
Performance evaluations will occur at 30 and 60 days, with a comprehensive management review conducted at 90 days.
