This role works closely with managers to understand staffing needs, review open positions, and develop effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified applicants.
The Recruiter is responsible for advertising and promoting job opportunities, sourcing candidates, conducting initial screenings, and evaluating skills, experience, and cultural fit before presenting candidates to hiring managers. This position also supports broader recruitment efforts, including participation in career fairs, outreach to high schools and trade schools, and coordination with outside recruiting partners as needed.

Responsibilities
Recruitment & Candidate Sourcing
• Support the full recruitment and interview process for open positions across the organization.
• Source prospective candidates through networking, job boards, social media, internet search tools, talent communities, community partnerships and other recruiting channels.
• Ensure job postings are accurate, approved, and posted within established timeframes.
• Monitor industry trends, including competitive wages, benefits, and recruiting practices, to support effective hiring strategies.
Interview Coordination & Candidate Management
• Schedule phone, video, and in-person interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
• Screen candidates for qualifications, experience, communication skills, and potential culture fit.
• Facilitate pre-employment assessments as part of the candidate evaluation process.
• Provide timely communication and feedback to candidates throughout the recruiting process.
Offer & Pre-Employment Process
• Manage the offer process, including preparing offer letters and routing them through the appropriate approval channels.
• Coordinate background checks, drug screens, physicals, reference checks, and other required pre-employment steps.
Hiring Manager & Vendor Partnership
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, review open positions, and support timely hiring decisions.
• Maintain relationships with external recruiters and staffing partners, keeping them updated on current and anticipated staffing needs.
• Provide recruiting updates, candidate feedback, and hiring process support to managers as needed.
School, Community & Industry Outreach
• Build and maintain relationships with local high schools, technical colleges, and workforce development partners.
• Represent the company at career fairs, recruiting events, community activities, and industry networking opportunities.
Reporting, Metrics & Retention Support
• Maintain basic staffing metrics, recruiting activity reports, and job posting schedules.
• Update staffing reports and provide regular visibility into recruiting activity, candidate flow, and hiring progress.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and pre-employment processes.
  • Experience using Pinpoint or other applicant tracking systems to manage candidate pipelines, job postings, recruiting workflows, and hiring activity.
  • Proficient in using Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other job boards to advertise openings, source candidates, and manage applicant flow.
  • Skilled in using LinkedIn and other social media platforms 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the company professionally to candidates, hiring managers, schools, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple openings, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and a positive candidate experience.
