The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Recruiter to manage full life-cycle recruiting for approved roles to include interns and fellows, contract, seasonal, regular, cross-global, temporary or other applicable needs. Collaboration and service-minded excellence are required for understanding organizational and manager needs as well as impact on IJM operations. This position is responsible for the hiring process from the earliest initiation of a hiring need through onboarding and retention strategies of employees.
This position is based remotely in the US. It reports to the VP, Talent Pipeline & Development and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

Successful hires achieved through a robust full lifecycle recruiting process.

Creation of customized sourcing strategies that assist in proactively identifying talent gaps and building talent pipelines.

Creation and maintenance of prospect pools and candidate pipelines for future vacancies through social media networks and databases.

Cultivation of strong and effective working relationships with hiring managers.
Responsibilities:
Networking & Partnership
-
Builds effective partnerships with hiring managers to ensure alignment with recruitment strategies
-
Manages interview process to ensure all interviewers perform meaningful assessments in a professional, fair and equitable manner.

Partners with hiring managers, HRBP(s) and Global Talent Acquisition to create competitive offers for selected candidates and present offers in a compelling manner.

Collaborate with internal support and operational teams to ensure effective onboarding experience.
-
Manages external relationships with vendors and agency partners across teams.
-
Collaborates with Regional HR and Global Mobility for cross-global hiring.
Policies and Procedures
-
Support drafting of Recruiting SOPs.
-
Consistently enhance best practices, updated compliance criteria, HRIS business processes and program development opportunities as part of the larger Recruiting team.

Ensure all recruiting policies are executed in accordance with the Dept. of Labor, Safer Recruitment module or other compliance drivers, as well as IJM policies throughout the full lifecycle process.
Communication
-
Manage interview capacity and process to ensure all interviewers perform meaningful assessments in a professional, fair and equitable manner.

Conduct intake meeting with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and clearly communicate recruiting strategy.

Reflect IJM through timely and professional communication with external candidates, recruiting agencies and referrers.

Advises managers throughout the process of candidate interviews, debrief and offer negotiation for best organizational results on hires.
Training and Development
-
Create and/or enhance and conduct interview training with hiring teams.
-
Create and/or enhance and conduct bias training with hiring teams.
-
Participate in training and developing new employees through onboarding, 30-60-90 day check ins, global orientation, etc.
Documentation, Reporting & Data Management
-
Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure accurate recruiting data management to include prospective, active and former candidates.

Maintain new hire records in the HCM system Workday to ensure accurate employee data.
-
Maintain Microsoft Office Forms, SharePoint, LMS365 and excel on all pertinent Recruiting data.
Clerical and Administration
-
Assist with job postings and advertisement processes.

Schedule all hiring manager and candidates interview phases and prepare teams.
-
Prepare Interview Assessment Forms, virtual and in-person interview logistics and supporting information.

Create New Hire checklists and welcome packets.
General Tasks
-
Attract qualified prospects, recruits, and hires qualified job applicants.

Source and engage passive candidates.

Review applications, conduct phone interviews and recommend top candidates to hiring managers.

Partner with hiring managers to create competitive offers, advise on benchmarking and internal equity and present offers in a compelling way.

Collaborate with internal support and operational teams to ensure effective onboarding experience.

Build and manage pipeline of talent to meet future staffing needs.

Provides advice on recruitment needs and general HR related matters.

Participate in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (or commensurate job experience in related field), required.
-
Minimum of five years talent acquisition experience to include full life-cycle recruiting, required.
-
SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential, a plus.

Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment in a variety of roles.
-
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to influence.

Ability to advise managers throughout the process for best organizational results on hires.
-
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Experience with major Human Capital Management (HCM) software (Workday preferred).

Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) (Workday Recruiting preferred).

Ability to work well with talented and diverse audiences.
