The Recruiter is an enthusiastic relationship builder who has an eye for identifying strong talent for a variety of roles. This position serves as a resource and partner for both hiring managers and candidates to effectively identify matches for FreeWill’s current and future openings. A successful Recruiter will have a solid foundation in hiring and willingness to gain more experience in recruitment, continue to develop their skill set, and grow within FreeWill. This is a remote position that would join the People team and report to the Director of Recruitment. 

FreeWill has set compensation and a non-negotiation policy for fairness reasons (we don't think that an individual's pay should be determined by how comfortable they are negotiating). As a result, we like to be transparent and up front about the compensation. When we make an offer, we provide multiple options so that employees can choose between compensation packages that prioritize salary or stock options. The salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all or most of the full cycle hiring process from sourcing to offer for multiple requisitions simultaneously which may include working on job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing, and providing support for hiring managers and interviewers 
  • Provide coordination/scheduling support for roles with other team members 
  • Cultivate and develop relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process by engaging in timely, helpful, and clear communication to ensure a positive candidate experience 
  • Maintain accurate and up to date candidate records, documentation, and communication using our applicant tracking system, Greenhouse
  • Bring a strong equity lens to our hiring decisions at every stage in the process to ensure diverse candidate pools and great hires; including monitoring diversity of the pools, training interviewers around preventing bias, and coaching hiring teams and hiring managers to ensure strong decision-making
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and interviewers and consistently provide feedback, status updates, and recommendations
  • Review and utilize data to determine effective recruitment strategies
  • Other People responsibilities as needed including special projects

Skills:

  • Prior experience and success in recruitment within a technology startup or fast-paced technology/software organization 
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (Greenhouse preferred)
  • Experience working in a remote environment utilizing tools such as Slack and Zoom 
  • Project management skills -- this role will manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously without letting anything fall through the cracks
  • Strong communication skills -- both internally with hiring teams as well as externally with candidates. The ability to keep all parties informed about the hiring process is key.
  • Experience using best practices around diversity and inclusion in recruitment and hiring
  • Proven track record filling hard-to-fill roles and/or conducting high volume recruitment
  • Sourcing skills using various mediums including LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, and networking preferred

Hiring Process

  The hiring process for this role is as follows:

  • Hiring Manager Phone Screen (30 minutes)
  • Performance Task/Role-play (Prep on your own time; 30 minute Zoom) 
  • 2 Final Interviews with FreeWill team members (2 separate 30 minute interviews)
  • Offer (contingent on positive references)

If you are selected to move forward in this process, the Recruiter will share more details about the hiring process and interviewers. However, this is a good estimate of what you can expect. For most roles, our hiring processes take an average of 4-6 weeks.
