The Senior Technical Recruiter is responsible for the full recruitment life cycle of mid and senior level information technology (IT) candidates. This individual possesses a strong understanding of the company’s organization and IT structure and provides a high level of expertise and assistance to all levels of personnel, both internal and external, on various recruiting/talent acquisition related strategies and issues. The Senior Technical Recruiter has one or more areas of expertise such as sourcing, interviewing, assessment, and candidate experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Full life-cycle recruiting partnering directly with information technology (IT) hiring managers to understand their teams’ hiring needs and team dynamics
Recruiting for Information Technology needs of mid to senior level developers, engineers, architects, system administrators, and other specialty needs
Partner closely with senior leadership to identify, build and execute effective recruiting strategies to engage the best and the brightest IT talent
Identify, engage and secure top talented candidates (both passive and active)
Proven background in using innovative research & sourcing methods to hire for niche areas and ‘hard to fill’ roles
Develop sourcing strategies and research methods that are successful in attracting viable candidates for each specific requisition
Be the search expert for functional areas by understanding functional hiring needs, position specifications and search requirements
Work closely with recruiting coordinators to move candidates through the interview process as smoothly and quickly as possible
Provide excellent customer service to our hiring teams and ensure a seamless candidate experience for all potential candidates
Proactively report on pipeline activity to the hiring managers to facilitate effective recruiting and hiring discussions
Measure performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in technical sourcing and recruiting strategies and partner with peers in the execution of these strategies
Negotiate potential offers and successfully close candidates
Conducts exit interviews with corporate office team members and provides feedback to department manager and Vice President of Information Technology as needed
Provide insight in hiring processes, immigration, relocation, compliance, compensation, leveling guidelines, etc
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIESRequired:BA/BS Degree and 3+ years of IT recruiting experience (or in lieu of degree, 5+ years of IT recruiting experience)
3+ years of experience recruiting for a variety of positions with an emphasis on mid to senior level software development and engineering roles across multiple business functions
2+ years of experience working in a remote/virtual environment
Experience with progressive sourcing techniques including direct sourcing and internet data mining and recruiting techniques such search engines, Boolean search strings, LinkedIn and other online networking communities
Self-driven and exceptional organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks
Ability to change gears on short notice and adapt to fast changing environments
Solid experience in partnering effectively with all types of teams and levels of professionals
Exceptional closing and negotiation skills are required
Attention to detail is mandatory and must demonstrate meticulous organization skills
Desired:Experience with networking as well as organizing and attending meetups, conferences and events as a way to attract candidates
5+ years of experience in the full recruitment life cycle for information technology roles
Previous experience recruiting in a corporate environment
