The Recruiter will lead strategic recruitment efforts to identify, attract, and secure top-tier talent across all levels of the manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for implementing workforce planning strategies, enhancing the employer brand, managing critical staffing pipelines, and partnering with leadership to support ongoing growth and retention goals in a high-demand, fast-paced industrial setting.
Responsibilities:
Supports Magna Operational Principles and Employee Charter criteria within context and position's scope of work supports EBM’s ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, IATF System, as well as Magna Safety and Magna Environmental Program requirements
Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts across all talent levels, including salaried professionals, skilled trades, and high-volume production roles.
Partner with operations, HR, and department leaders to understand workforce needs and develop strategic staffing plans that align with business goals and production schedules.
Own the end-to-end hiring process: posting, sourcing, screening, scheduling, interviewing, offer development, and onboarding coordination.
Execute and manage the employment-based immigration process, working with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure compliance and timely support for visa candidates.
Develop strong candidate pipelines using diverse sourcing strategies: job boards, technical schools, referrals, social platforms, and community outreach.
Ensure a consistent and exceptional candidate experience through timely communication, transparency, and professionalism.
Prepare, analyze, and present recruiting reports—including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance rates, and pipeline activity.
Represent the company at job fairs, college recruiting events, and skilled trade outreach initiatives to build employer brand awareness.
Partner with HR on onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition from offer to first day, and alignment with training and orientation schedules.
Ensure all recruitment practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, and adhere to internal policies and labor agreements.
Continuously improve hiring workflows and tools (e.g., ATS, HRIS), identifying bottlenecks and implementing efficiency-driven solutions.
Support and mentor junior recruiting staff, providing guidance, structure, and feedback to ensure consistent process execution and professional growth.
Participate in and contribute to weekly staffing meetings, workforce planning sessions, and cross-functional alignment discussions.
Perform other duties and talent-related projects as assigned to support plant operations and HR objectives.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume recruitment, with a proven track record of success. (Manufacturing Preferred)
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze data, and develop creative solutions to recruitment challenges.
Demonstrated experience managing high-volume recruiting while also supporting specialized or hard-to-fill roles.
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
High level of adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
A passion for talent acquisition and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
Experience with employment-based immigration processes, including coordination of visa paperwork and communication with legal teams
Experience mentoring or training junior recruiters or HR support staff.
Strong track record of using data and metrics to influence decisions and demonstrate ROI on recruiting efforts.
