About the position
We are looking for a diligent planner and enthusiastic networker to help us organise and execute a range of campus recruiting initiatives. The role supports our aim to attract outstanding interns and full-time employees across multiple countries and business areas. While some professional recruiting experience and knowledge of the graduate recruiting landscape across the UK and broader Europe would be ideal, it is not a prerequisite to thrive in this role.
Our team has a long track record of hiring talented people who are interested in recruiting and coaching them to their full potential. From your first day, regardless of your starting point, we will teach you the ins and outs of recruiting at Jane Street—and we’ll continue to support your professional growth over time with on-the-job training and mentorship.
To start, your day-to-day will involve planning and attending various types of recruiting events (e.g., on-campus, virtual, and in-office), building and maintaining relationships with universities and external partners, managing job and event postings on internal and external platforms, keeping our candidate relationship management system up to date, and administering timely and consistent marketing and communications to candidates. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and attention to detail - you'll be tackling big, interesting problems while also getting the little details right.
This role sits on our Early Careers Partnerships & Initiatives (ECPI) team, which is part of our broader global Campus Recruiting team. Our ECPI team is a highly supportive and collaborative group spanning our New York, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong offices. We're an energetic, tight-knit team who love what we do, and maybe more importantly, who we work with. This camaraderie fuels our passion for helping other Jane Street teams find and hire great teammates of their own.
About you
- 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in recruiting or related field
- Eager to learn new skills and make an immediate impact; humble about what you don’t know and not afraid to ask for help when needed
- Self-starter who can handle competing priorities
- Organised, with meticulous attention to detail and strong administrative skills
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, candidates, and external partners
- Strong event-planning skills and evidence of successful event execution
- Thrives on relationship-building; eagerly engaging with internal colleagues and external partners and meeting students at career fairs and other recruiting events
- Approachable team player with a “no job too small” attitude
- Possesses a natural inclination for diving deep into unfamiliar topics, coupled with a genuine passion for learning
- Excited about regular travel, both domestic and international, to coordinate and attend events
- Fluency in English required

What We Do
Jane Street works differently. As a liquidity provider and market maker, we trade on more than 200 trading venues across 45 countries and help form the backbone of global markets. Our approach is rooted in technology and rigorous quantitative analysis, but our success is driven by our people.
Our bright, beautiful offices in the heart of New York, London, Hong Kong, and Amsterdam are open and buzzing with conversation. We come from many backgrounds and encourage travel between offices to share perspectives. Some of our best ideas come from bumping into a visiting colleague at the office coffee bar.
Markets move fast. Staying competitive as we’ve grown has required constant invention—of new trading strategies, technology, and processes. We’ve found this is easier when you hire humble, kind people. They tend to help each other, and prioritize teamwork over titles.
We invest heavily in teaching and training. There’s a library and a classroom in every office, because deepening your understanding of something is considered real work. Guest lectures, classes, and conferences round out the intellectual exchanges that happen every day.
People grow into long careers at Jane Street because there are always new and interesting problems to solve, systems to build, and theories to test. More than twenty years after our founding, it still feels like we’re just getting started.
