Summary: The Recruiter supports the mission of Goodwill Industries of South Florida by managing and coordinating recruitment activities for the Mission Services, Service Contracts, Laundry, IT, Finance/Accounting, Business Services divisions. This position assists with the full recruitment lifecycle, helping attract, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and hiring practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection activities.
- Schedule interviews and coordinate hiring activities with managers and candidates.
- Conduct pre-screening interviews for management and leadership positions as needed.
- Extend job offers and assist with the onboarding process.
- Review and approve job requisitions and assign positions to the open requisitions.
- Partner with assigned division leadership to identify and address staffing needs.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Provide assistance to candidates with online applications and walk-in inquiries.
- Represent the organization at community job fairs and recruitment events, including participation in veteran-focused job fairs at least one to two times annually.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure hiring managers comply with candidate notification and disposition procedures.
- Properly disposition candidates using approved ATS codes and processes.
- Respond promptly and professionally to candidate and employee inquiries, phone calls, and messages.
- Must be able to travel to various Goodwill locations and recruitment events within Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, as business needs require.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a recruiter, talent acquisition specialist, or in a similar role.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of labor laws and ethical hiring practices.
Certifications: – HR Certifications / Certificates preferred.
