SUMMARY
Family Service League is seeking a part-time Recreational Aide to work in our Operation Success program at the Riverhead Family Center. The Recreational Aide assists the Youth Development Specialist in providing educational programs to students grades K-4. Responsibilities include plannting activities, leading group discussion, maintaining attendance sheets and coordinating transporation for pick-ups.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Recreational Aide will assist in facilitation of Operation Success.
- Setting up classroom.
- Individual and group instruction to students K-4.
- Assist with monthly reports.
- Maintain attendance logs.
- Plan activities for children.
- Lead age-appropriate group discussions.
- Communicate with parents as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of least 2 years’ experience providing educational services to young children.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft office, required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting for long periods of time.
