Job Title: Powerplant Records Specialist
Location: PW4000 Shop Powerplant Building #3 Dept #119
Shift: Dayshift Monday through Friday
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Powerplant Records Specialist is directly responsible to the Manager (Engine Shop
Inspection) for the control, accountability, and accuracy of all closed engine records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating with production control to obtain information regarding a specific customer’s incoming work package, input delivery date, aircraft registration number, engine serial number, Kalitta Maintenance Financial Project Number, pre-planning tally sheets, etc.
- Performing a daily audit of closed aircraft records, verifying proper documentation of corrective actions, AD/SB compliance form, Life Limited record forms, part and certification tags, proper stamp and signature sign offs.
- Identifying problem items and coordinating with Quality Control Inspectors to ensure items are corrected.
- Ensuring, after a final audit of documentation has been completed, a complete copy is made for Kalitta Maintenance retention.
- Setting up the customer's work package for delivery and Kalitta Maintenance closed records package unless otherwise specified per the customer's request.
- Coordinating on the day of aircraft delivery with production control and the Inspection Manager / Hangar/Engine Shop for the accountability of all work cards, copies of logbook pages, etc.
- Maintaining the Records Office.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Have at least 2 years experience in office administration.
- High School Graduate
- Basic Understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and other programs
- Ability to use computer to input data from hard copies to files on computer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Employee will perform duties in an office setting, and/or maintenance setting. Proper PPE will be required on shop floor.

Skills Required
