Records Officer
Iron Mountain is seeking a detail-oriented Records Officer to join our Data Centre Operations team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive end-to-end lifecycle management of physical and digital records, ensuring absolute compliance with National Archives of Australia requirements and customer policies.
You will work closely with a dedicated team of information management professionals focused on delivering secure, high-quality archiving, digitisation, and compliance solutions for our valued clients.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Lifecycle Records Management: Appraise, sentence, archive, and manage physical and digital records consignments within the Electronic Documents and Records Management System in strict accordance with National Archives of Australia guidelines.
- Digitisation and Quality Assurance: Execute high-quality scanning, digitisation, and Scan on Demand services across mixed media records, performing rigorous quality assurance checks before destroying physical counterparts.
- Compliance Auditing: Conduct comprehensive monthly audits of active records and lead annual reviews of sentenced records stored at offsite facilities.
- Secure Disposal: Oversee and validate the authorized destruction of sentenced records, ensuring complete alignment with customer protocols and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- Security Clearances: A mandatory minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement, with the ability to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance.
- Information Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of National Archives of Australia instructions, sentencing guidelines, and Electronic Documents and Records Management System operations.
- Quality Focus: Exceptional attention to detail and a disciplined approach to executing highly regulated processes.
