We’re seeking an experienced Reconciliation Specialist to take ownership of a high-impact project: reconciling complex nominal ledger accounts with historic discrepancies and building future-proof balance sheet reconciliation processes.
This is an investigative, detail-oriented role where you’ll bring clarity, accuracy, and structure to the finance function while leaving a lasting impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
perform detailed reconciliations across a wide range of nominal ledger accounts, investigating and resolving unreconciled items, historic variances, and data gaps
analyse complex data sets with a methodical approach
develop clear, standardised balance sheet reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation
design processes the finance team can adopt and maintain, and document findings and adjustments
work with Finance and business stakeholders to obtain missing information, understand transaction flows, and recommend improvements to reconciliation practices, processes, and controls
support month-end close activities and prepare audit-ready documentation
What You’ll Bring:
proven experience in reconciliation-heavy roles within medium or large finance functions
strong understanding of nominal/general ledger accounting
excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
ability to work independently and take ownership
strong communication skills and confidence engaging at all levels
Desirable:
experience with Microsoft D365 Business Central
background in finance transformation or clean-up projects
AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification
