About the role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist with outstanding communication and customer service skills to be based at our offices at Pipewell Quay on Gateshead’s Quayside.
Our team is committed to providing a welcoming and seamless experience for colleagues and visitors from the moment they arrive until they depart. We proactively oversee workspaces, meeting rooms, and collaboration areas while serving as a trusted source of information on the building’s amenities and services. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and engaging environment, ensuring every visitor and colleague feels supported, valued, and well taken care of during their time on-site.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, energetic, friendly and extremely organised. Able to deal with a range of people and situations, we’re looking for someone who is at ease meeting new people and who remains calm under pressure.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring all customers and visitors to Aspire receive a warm, welcoming experience,
- General office administration, including:
- Arranging catering and refreshments,
- Travel arrangements,
- Fleet-related tasks,
- Keeping relevant systems up to date,
- Organising and arranging internal colleague events,
- Building Management,
- Billing and administration tasks.
- Ensuring meeting rooms are kept to a high standard and setting up before client meetings,
- Organising postal deliveries and ensuring all post delivered to Aspire is delivered to the correct employee,
- Act as an ambassador for the Aspire brand,
- Call support where required.
You will suit the role if you have:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- Ability to look for new ways to make improvements to enhance the quality of service provided.
- Excellent organisational skills, highly self-motivated, personable, friendly, positive, and resilient.
- Ability to apply sound judgement when dealing with a wide range of situations.

Salary
£13,120 - £13,867 per annum, depending on experience (FTE £24,600 - £26,000 per annum)

Location and Working Arrangements
The position offered is based at Aspire’s Gateshead (Quayside) Head Office.
Hours of Work
Part-time, 20 hours per week (10am - 2.30pm with 30 minutes lunch break), Monday - Friday.
Flexibility will be required to provide cover when needed.

Interview Process
We generally conduct interviews in three stages, lasting approximately 2-3 weeks, depending on everyone’s calendars.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a pre-screening call via Teams to discuss your experience and what you’re looking for in your next role.
- Successful candidates will be invited to an interview with the Hiring Manager.
