Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a healthcare facility.
Position: Receptionist
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00–$20.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as a welcoming first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, employees, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to remain organized and attentive in a busy post-acute healthcare environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet residents, families, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously.
Assist visitors with sign-in procedures and provide appropriate directions or information.
Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.
Respond to general inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate department or staff member.
Receive and distribute mail, packages, and other correspondence.
Maintain visitor and facility logs as required.
Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.
Communicate messages accurately and promptly to appropriate staff members.
Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and facility information.
Follow facility policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Basic computer and office equipment skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Reliable and dependable with strong attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Healthcare or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not required.
