Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a healthcare facility.

Position: Receptionist
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00–$20.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Receptionist serves as a welcoming first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, employees, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to remain organized and attentive in a busy post-acute healthcare environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously.

  • Assist visitors with sign-in procedures and provide appropriate directions or information.

  • Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.

  • Respond to general inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate department or staff member.

  • Receive and distribute mail, packages, and other correspondence.

  • Maintain visitor and facility logs as required.

  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as assigned.

  • Communicate messages accurately and promptly to appropriate staff members.

  • Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and facility information.

  • Follow facility policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Basic computer and office equipment skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Reliable and dependable with strong attendance.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Healthcare or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not required.
