Role:
The Morton Street Receptionist represents Harbor Health Services, in a courteous, effective, efficient, friendly and professional manner by greeting visitors and guests. The Receptionist assists the Senior Leaders, Directors and Managers as needed and serves as the Gate Keeper via telephone, email, and face to face for clients, caretakers, families, vendors and staff. Position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
• Timely sorts and processes all incoming office mail and accurately places mail in the corresponding department mail boxes.
• Professionally, courteously and effectively screens and responds to incoming calls and refers as appropriate.
• Professionally and courteously greets and screens visitors, ensures visitors are not left unattended, signs in as per protocol and assigns and issues visitor’s badge to all.
• Ensures Safety Protocol is followed when activated.
• Provides professional and courteous customer service to external and internal customers, complies with Harbor policies and procedures, and proactively participates in the successful implementation of new initiatives.
• Ensures that necessary logs for telephone/deliveries/messaging etc. are kept current in accordance with protocol.
• Ensures that the reception desk and general reception are well organized and clean.
• Assists in resolving scheduling conflicts for conference rooms as needed.
• Maintains postage meter, requests postage and records special mailing request i.e. certified, large mailings.
• Assists as back up to Elder Service Plan Receptionist in preparing and tracking care plan invitation letters/packets for weekly mailing to participants.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills, excellent customer service and organizational skills
• A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a professional business environment performing same or similar duties preferred
• Excellent Key Boarding Skills
• Computer Literate with Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams preferred
• Ability to effectively and efficiently resolve issues within scope of duties with minimal supervisory intervention preferred

Harbor Health owns and operates five community health centers including: Geiger Gibson Community Health Center, Daniel Driscoll - Neponset Health Center, Harbor Community Health Center- Hyannis, Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth and the Ellen Jones Community Dental Center. In addition, Harbor Health administers the two Elder Service Plans in Boston and Brockton, a program providing care to frail elders in their place of residence, and the Women Infant Children Nutrition Program. Combined, Harbor Health’s community health centers serve as the “family doctor” for more than 22,000 patients and as the “family dentist” to an additional 13,400 patients. The Elder Service Plan cares for more than 490 members and Women Infant Children Nutrition Program serves more than 3000 women and their children.
