About the role: 

We are currently seeking an organised, professional, and compassionate Receptionist to join our busy hospital team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering excellent administrative and patient support services.

Based within our hospital Day Unit Team, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of patient services and front-of-house administration.

We are looking for permanent part-time staff member to join our team! 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Managing patient admissions, bookings, and appointment scheduling 
•    Providing professional front desk and reception support 
•    Handling incoming phone calls and patient enquiries 
•    Maintaining accurate patient records and data entry 
•    Liaising with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals 
•    Processing medical documentation 
•    Assisting with payments, filing, and general administrative duties 
•    Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with hospital procedures and privacy requirements 

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:
•    Previous administration or reception experience (hospital or medical experience highly regarded) 
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
•    Strong organisational skills and customer service skills
•    Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment
•    High level of professionalism and empathy when dealing with patients 
•    Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and patient management systems 
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Information

  • Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
