Essential Responsibilities:
- Welcomes members to TowneBank, determines the nature of their business, and directs them to the appropriate person.
- Operates the department’s main telephone switchboard and assists callers by transferring them to the appropriate party or taking messages from the caller.
- Becomes familiar with TowneBank’s locations, hours, telephone numbers and individuals so that routine questions can be answered with ease
- Assists the branch or department team with a variety of day-to-day duties as requested
- Types memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as needed
- Prepare and submit sponsorship requests for the Greensboro Region
- Assist members, loan officers and administrative assistants with requests for financial transfers, cashier’s checks, wires, stop payment requests, statement inquiries, etc.
- Facilitate the ordering of all office supplies
- Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing UPS shipments
- Manage board room schedule for bank and community events
- Create spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and other documents as needed
- Assist with monthly Board Meetings (purchasing of food and beverages, set-up/cleanup)
- Assist with special events such as Wine Festival, Christmas Party, Planning Session, etc.
- Initiate office repair requests.
- Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
- Other duties as assigned.

- Computer experience
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Insight, FIS, Teller Insight, Image Center, BPI for wires
Physical Requirements:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
