POSITION SUMMARY:
To handle daily clerical duties of the freezer warehouse operations and assist Freezer Warehouse Manager. (Vernon facility)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sign in all carriers and assign doors and dictate to Loaders what orders to pick and off-load.
- Communicate with carriers via phone and e-mail.
- Communicate with Transportation Department regarding appointments and carrier information.
- Assist Production and QA Departments regarding rework and requests for product.
- Analyze data in Excel and JD Edwards regarding inventory requirements.
- Report any food safety or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Follows J&J Snack Food’s Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
- Follows all OSHA safety rules and all food safety laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education and training: High School diploma or GED.
- Job-related experience:
- Minimum 1year experience working in warehouse, preferably as a Shipping Clerk.
- Warehouse Management System experience & proficiency to perform required transactions.
- Managerial experience: N/A
- Technical knowledge and skills:
- WMS experience and proficiency.
- Forklift/pallet jack certification.
- PC skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook E-Mail.
- Accurate data entry and 10 key by touch skills as well as other office equipment such as scanners, copiers, etc.
- Basic Math skills required.
- Must be forklift certified. Will be re-certified on Company equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.
- Must be able to prioritize.
- Requires entering Freezer Warehouse. Will be issued appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
