Purpose of Position:
The Receiving Associate has primary responsibility for ensuring the efficient flow of materials by accurately receiving, staging, and delivering supplies, maintaining organized and compliant storage areas, and supporting shipments and inventory control while upholding safety and food safety standards.

Essential Duties:
- Unload, palletize, and verify all deliveries; enter receipts in NAV.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, track losses, and rotate stock (FIFO).
- Pick, stage, and deliver packaging materials to processing as needed.
- Load outbound shipments and support trailer movements.
- Operate forklifts and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure pallets, trailers, and loads are secure and in good repair.
- Keep storage areas clean, orderly, and compliant with food safety standards.
- Complete required documentation and follow company food safety policies.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Operations Manager.
Work Schedule:
- Typical hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Two 10-minute paid breaks and a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
Requirements
- Completion of general safety and basic food safety training (provided by WEF).
- Training in electric pallet jack and forklift operation (provided by WEF).
- Steel-toed or composite toe shoes required (WEF provides a shoe compensation plan)
- Accurate data entry skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
- The ability to interpret documents such as standard operating procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is regularly required to move about the facility. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (egg boxes). The employee is required to seek assistance in the lifting of more than 50 pounds, or use a forklift to lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, soaps and/or chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
